Beach K 1320 is located 8 km southeast of Thurburn Bluff and 2 km north of 213 m high Thurburn Hill. The curving 300 m long beach lies on the eastern side of a 2 km wide embayment, the remainder of the bay dominated by cliffs, rocks and inner mangroves. The beach is composed of coarse material, and fronted by rock flats, then 500 m wide mud flats.
