Immediately to the west is beach K 12, a 200 m beach hemmed in by red sandstone ridges, with a boat ramp across the eastern end of the beach and a car park behind. The top of the beach is dominated by sloping beachrock and sandstone cobbles and boulders, with a 100 m wide low gradient sandy intertidal zone.
