Out towards the end of the large St Kilda Marina is an artificial beach, that has formed since the construction of the marina. It is just 150m long and located between two rock groynes, and is backed by a seawall. It faces south-west and is well exposed to southerly winds and waves. These have built a continuous, narrow bar.
