Point Abeona is a 500 m long, sandy and shelly spit, that partly blocks the entrance to Limeburners Bay. The spit has been built by low southern waves running along and wrapping around the point. The low spit is backed by the bay and fronted by shallow, seagrass covered tidal flats.

Swimming

You can swim on both sides of this beach, with deeper water on the back (bay) side, or off the tip of the spit. Shallow tidal flats front the beach.

Fishing

The tip of the Point is the most popular spot with deep water and tidal flows.

A long narrow spit surrounded by usually calm water, with tidal currents off the tip.
