Currimundi beach (1550) is a 1.3 km long, east facing beach located between the mouth of Currimundi Lagoon and some low rocks that separate it from Dicky Beach. The northern 500m are backed by the small Currimundi residential area, with a foreshore reserve and beachfront houses. The southern half lies on either side of the small Coondibah Creek, that occasionally flows across the beach. The land surrounding the lagoon is a national fitness camp, with a small section of residential houses at the southern end. There is good beach access via the streets and car parks at either end. The beach receives waves averaging just over 1m, which maintain a series of four to five rips across the bar. These rips occasionally infill during lower waves.
