Tomakin Cove (NSW 558) faces southeast and curves for 300 m between the point and the reef, with shallow reefs extending nearly continuously between the two boundaries. As a result waves are less than 0.5 m at the beach, where they combine with the fine sand to maintain a low gradient low tide terrace, with a ‘lagoon’ between the base of the beach and reefs, particularly at low tide. The beach is backed by a densely vegetated foredune, then the Tomakin houses, which sit atop the 500 m wide foredune ridge plain.
Beach Length: 0.3km
